I received Coco's birth announcement via e-mail in a little internet cafe in La Ceiba, Honduras, while I was deployed there during the Hurricane Mitch relief effort. My first niece was born!!!


She is named after one of the less-tragic characters in Victor Hugo's "Les Miserables" - Cosette, the daughter of Fantine, who Jean Valjean rescues and raises as his own. She falls in love with the revolutionary Marius and lives happily-ever-after!

Bowties and Daddy's famous spaghetti sauce (read: plain tomato sauce with only the slightest bits of oregano).

Roast beef (or was that lamb?).
