YKP and Dee do NYC!!!!

October 16-22, 2006

Cathedral of St. John the Divine, Upper West Side (my 'hood)...

Damaged by fire in 2001, the north transept remains closed for reconstruction.

St. John the Divine is the largest gothic cathedral in the world.

Our Congress of Strings (1986) chamber music concert was held in one of the chapels.

OK, so I have a thing for churches...

And now on to Riverside Church.

Look familar? This is where the COS (1986) final concert was held.

Riverside Church is known for its celebration of diversity.

Riverside is affiliated with the United and Baptist Churches.

NYC is absolutely stocked full of great architecture.

And Ellis Island.

This was my first visit/walk through Battery Park.

Former stables converted into row-housing in the late 19th century.
